Red Bull Media House has picked Tata Communications for its new television channel, which will be launched in 2016. The communication services company will also be helping Red Bull transmit live data over its fibre network.
Sports content supplier, Red Bull Media House, currently offers over 1,000 hours of content to broadcast channels as well as digital platforms. Tata Communications’ Video Connect Service solutions are expected to optimise consumers’ viewing experience.
“Our leading fibre network and constant bandwidth availability means that viewers of Red Bull Media House’s upcoming television offering will be able to tune in to watch their favourite events from extreme sports to live music, knowing that they will enjoy a seamless and high quality experience,” said Rangu Salgame, Chief Executive Officer, Growth Ventures & Service Provider Group at Tata Communications.
In related news, Red Bull Media House recently selected Elemental Technologies’ video processing solutions for live and pooled content. Tata Communications, meanwhile, has launched Media Ecosystem, which helps media companies distribute video content across several countries. The latest solution, Salgame told ejinsight, enables content providers cut distribution costs.
