Pace, a solutions company, reveals the company’s focus and priority will be locked on value added products. Bopanna Muddappa. Head of Solutions, Pace, believes the way forward for the company will be to occupy the quality space.

Talking during the NexTV Summit, New Delhi, today, Mudappa says:We believe that the quality products both in hardware and software, should be on the market although for e.g. STBs have become more of a commodity but we still see that there is value to bring in the table.”

He adds: “Given that we are prioritising and focussing more on the value added products we can bring in the market working with Tier 1 to define their roadmaps, helping them from the experience that we have and more mature markets and bringing that to the emerging markets as India. So our top priority will be to play more and more in the value added space. The quality space rather than the mass market space.”

However, the head of solutions explains that the digitisation process happening in India, particularly in Phase III and Phase IV, will be a major challenge both to DTH providers and the cable operators “mainly from the logistics and servicing point of view.”

“Trying to provide some value added services at the end of it beyond just one-way linear television with the return on investment and also looking at future growth and increasing the output; these are the main challenges I see in the market,” admits Mudappa.
